Quick steps
- Reach level 45 and at least 1000 IP (item level) — otherwise the portal won't let you in.
- Go to your faction's Abyss Portal. Asmodians: Altgard, teleport #60 “Impetusium Lower Path” — the portal is about 100 m away. Elyos: Verteron, the Garden of the Illusion God East Observatory teleport — the portal is about 70 m away.
- Enter the portal and confirm the transfer. Asmodians arrive at Latesran Eastern Root, Elyos at Latesran Western Root.
- Kibelisks (Abyss teleports) unlock once you fly to them — after that you can teleport straight to them.
Don't mix up the portals: both zones also have a Teleportation Portal nearby. Only the Abyss Portal takes you to the Abyss.
In the plugin: open the map of any Abyss event and click the gold “?” next to “Abyss” in the header. You'll get these steps for your faction, and the “Portal on map” button shows the route from the teleport to the portal.

Kibelisks: the Abyss teleports
A kibelisk is a teleport statue. Fly to it and activate it once; after that you can jump there from the map for a Return Scroll (Bound). General Goods merchants sell the scrolls.
Each faction has its own kibelisks and can't use the enemy's. You get 4 out on the islands plus one at your base, Latesran Root. Both factions use the same names, but the statues stand in different places:
- Branding Island
- River of Rotten Sap
- Siel's Left Wing
- Siel's Right Wing
Unlock them all on your first trip. Artifacts and bosses get much closer once you can teleport. Until a kibelisk is unlocked you fly from Latesran Root — that's the “from the Roots” line in the tables below.

What's in the Lower Abyss
The Lower Abyss (Lower Reshanta) is a cluster of floating islands with chains of flight rings strung between them. Here's what the plugin map marks there:

- Your base. Latesran Root has Ereshkigal's Monolith, where you hand in Empyrean Traces collected in the Abyss — it won't take the ones from Altgard or Verteron. Storage, a General Goods merchant, a Command merchant and a teleport tower are next to it.
- Gathering. 216 Od nodes and 200 Empyrean Traces, both as Premium Map layers. The best spots are on the Abyss Empyrean Traces map.
- Bosses. Watcher Kaira spawns at one of 6 spots, Guardian Lord Nahma at 3. Times and the nearest kibelisk for every spot: where to find Watcher Kaira.
You can't camp in the Abyss forever: you get 7 hours a week there, and the timer resets on Wednesday.
Abyss Corridor and the Artifact Siege
The Lower Abyss has 3 artifacts. When the siege starts, a level 65 Dimensional Core appears at each one. The faction that lands the killing blow on the core takes the artifact — total damage doesn't matter, the last hit does.
Every artifact you hold gives your whole faction +2.5% Abyss Points, up to +7.5% for all three. A captured artifact also opens an entrance to the Abyss Corridor, a dungeon only the holding faction can enter. The entrance stays until the next siege, and if one side takes every artifact, a separate corridor opens for the other.

Abyss Points
Where they come from:
- Spacetime Rift. It has 7 rift quests, each worth 2,000 Abyss Points, and opens every 3 hours — see the Spacetime Rift schedule.
- Artifacts. While your faction holds them, everyone on your side earns +2.5% more Abyss Points per artifact.
- Shugo Festival. Abyss Points are among its rewards, and it runs every hour.
The Abyss bosses are the other reason to fly out there: Kaira, Nahma and the Executors. Spots and times are on the Abyss bosses page.
The portal on the plugin map
AION2 Status draws its map right on top of the game. Hover Kaira, Nahma or the siege in the panel and you get the Abyss map with the event spot and your faction's nearest kibelisk. Click the row to pin the map.
In the map header, next to “Abyss”, there's a gold “?”. It opens the “How to get to the Abyss” card with the steps for your faction and the distance from the teleport to the portal. “Portal on map” switches to Altgard or Verteron and draws the route over land from the nearest teleport.
